Chocolate Fur Fascinator & Cape

Back to work on my Fall Collection. This time I made a set in a gorgeous deep chocolate brown color. The fur has self colored stripes that show as they catch the light.

I chose to make a round fascinator to go with this cape and a feather broach to wear on the cape, that can be removed.

The chocolate color is a very deep brown.

I made a feather pad using an array of natural colored variegated stripped coque feathers, a baby ostrich feather in a deep chocolate brown and chocolate turkey feathers, topped by a dripping rhinestone jewel in amber and brown.

Here you can see the jewel up close. The top of the fascinator is covered in the same chocolate fur as the cape.

It was very difficult trying to take photos of this fur without the light flashing against the pile. In the end I took this one without lights other than room lights. It was the best I could do and you can see the striped pattern in the fur.

A toggle clasp holds the cape closed and stops it from slipping off your shoulders. You can also see a good close-up of the removable broach.
