Four Cigarette Girl Hats
Although cigarettes are well out of favor, the popularity of cigarette girl hats has never wavered; in fact they are very popular for corporate or catering events. I have also made them for bridesmaids for retro weddings. This is because they are cute and sexy and look great on any shaped face or hair color. As a milliner, I am well aware of this popularity and at times make several samples at one time to show style and color.

At present I am working on five of these little hats that will be worn at an upcoming auto show and will be worn along with a really cute and good looking outfit to promote a manufacturers product. As soon as they are finished I will write a blog showing them. You can send me your small embroidered patch and I will add it to the front of the hat. Please email me for size of the patch that will fit this hat.

These hats can be made using a variety of fabrics and colors. This one shows you how I can incorporate two colors and two fabrics. The crown (top of the hat) is covered in red satin and the vamp (sides of the hat) is covered with black velvet

The trim over the top of the crown is two layered colors of grosgrain ribbon and the black and red braid around the vamp in two places gives a very sporting look.

This one is covered in navy blue corduroy fabric.

The silver braid and buttons wake up the color of the hat and add more fashion detail.

This one is covered in a swirl design faux suede fabric.

Narrow black braid around the vamp and wider black satin ribbon over the top is all that this hat needed.

This one has black satin on the crown and black velvet covering the vamp.

Black and gold ribbon around the vamp and over the crown was all it took to make a stunning little hat that will go with any outfit.
To hold the hat on your head, there is a rolled elastic band that goes under the back of the hair and can be hidden in your hair style.

Hello Linda,
I may need a pillbox style hat for an upcoming shoot. Perhaps red satin with some gold braid or accent trim. Could you give me an idea of price and time required to produce one from scratch or, if you may have something in stock.
You can call me if you like 202-882-1337
Thanks, John
